LEHMAN – Alton W., 100, Johnstown, passed away Feb. 27, 2015, at Bethlen Home in Ligonier. Born Dec. 23, 1914, in Windber, son of Sylves- ter and Mary (Berkey) Lehman. Preceded in death by parents; son, David Lehman; brothers, James and Wilbur Lehman; and sisters, Edna Brubaker and Marion Zack. He is the last survivor of his immediate family. Survived by loving wife of 77 years, Elsie (Costlow) Lehman; and these children: Judy McClurkin of Ligonier; Kathy Trabert of Johnstown; Karen Lehman of Pittsburgh; Mark Lehman of Bentleyville; and Jess Lehman of Johnstown. Also survived by 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren and one on the way. Alton was a caring and loving family man who enjoyed family fishing trips and spending time with his family. He was an avid cartoonist and enjoyed sharing his illustrations with friends and family. He was a retired machinist first class for U.S. Steel Corp. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Committal, Richland Cemetery.
