80, of Johnstown, died on August 23, 2017 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born March 31, 1937, in Johnstown, daughter of Ased and Dewan (Simon) Azar. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Josephine, Mary and Stella, and brothers, George and Sam. Survived by her loving brothers, Mitchell Azar, married to Lillian (Audi) and Fred Azar; nieces, Mary Ellen Azar, married to Robert Kramer; Michele, married to James Donnelly; and nephew, Mitchell G. Azar, married to Rebecca (Regan). Also survived by great nieces, Hannah Hewgley (Preston), Kasey Azar and Katherine Donnelly, and great nephew, Tyler Azar. Adele was a 1956 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Education. She retired from Johnstown School District after 32 years as a Science teacher at Garfield Junior High. She was an active member of the P.S.E.A., G.J.E.A. Adele was also a life member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, where she served as Teen SOYO advisor for many years. Friends received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. where Trisagion Prayers of Mercy will be sung at 7 p.m. Trisagion prayers of Mercy will be sung at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Funeral Service to follow at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church on Thursday, August 31, 2017.
