Anita (DuBritz) Knouse-Kalwasinski

75, Portage, passed away May 18, 2017 at Altoona Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 28, 1942, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Uhren) DuBritz. Deceased family members include her parents; first husband, Gregory Kalwasinski; and second husband, William Knouse. Survived by children, Lynn, wife of Chris Dalby, Altoona; and Greg Kalwasinski and wife Jen, Dublin, OH; and grandchildren, Natalie, Elle, Brooke, Alyssa, and Chase. Sister of, Dottie (Dave) Mrkich; Frank DuBritz; Mary Ann (Bob) Cochran, all of Portage. Also survived by several nieces and nephews; friend, Doug Greenwood, Sebring, FL; and her faithful dog, Winston. Former catholic school teacher at St. Michael's, Loretto and All Saints Catholic, Cresson and years ago taught in the Brooklyn Public School System. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, crocheting, and reading. Member of the YMCA, Hollidaysburg, and she cherished the friendships she made there. At Anita's request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel in Loretto.
