93, of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving Family. Born July 11, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and Eva (Tomljanovic) Velich. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, sisters Mary Szweda and Natalie Gehosky, and brother Ronald. Survived by her loving children, Linda wife of Richard Hornick of North Huntingdon, PA, and Thomas married to Sandra (Irwin) of Johnstown; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth wife of Scott White, Nicholas Hornick married to Megan, Major Thomas F. Torchia married to Allison, Tara wife of Damian Vuckovich, Tyler Torchia, and Tiffany Torchia; sister, Rose Vrabel. Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. Her words of wisdom and guidance will be sadly missed by all. She retired as a Teacher's Aide with Intermediate Unit 8. She was a Charter Member of ISDA Joseph Johns Lodge 214, a longtime member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, where she was a member of the Padre Pio Prayer Group, formerly St. Anthony Church, Woodvale, where Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 10 a.m. Fr. Matthew Misurda. Friends received from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, PA 15905. Interment, St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown. The Family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to The Villa Personal Care Home, where she resided, and the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center (7th floor nursing staff, and the Palliative Care Inpatient Unit).
