Betty Mae, 84, of 17193 Hill Valley Road, Shirleysburg, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017, at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. She was born on July 21, 1932, in Spangler, the daughter of the late Edward and Fannie (Dunlop) Stiffler. Her husband, Russell H. Hullihen, whom she married on January 19, 1952, preceded her in death. Six children survive: Judy Baldish, and husband, Ralph, of Northern Cambria; Evelyn Parkins of Ebensburg; Nancy Sowolla, and husband, Brian, of Revloc; Kimberly Lamer, and husband, Richard, of Johnstown; Russell Dennis Hullihen of Ebensburg; Rev. James Hullihen, and wife, Ivy, of Shirleysburg. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one brother, Melvin Stiffler, and wife, Edna Mae, of Hastings. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Timothy Parkins, and eight siblings. She was a member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, Shirleysburg. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching game shows. The funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor Richard Harter, officiating. Interment will be in the Belsano United Brethren Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday.
