Carla Jean Moose

Events

MOOSE---Carla Jean, 54, Richland Township, flew away from this world and into the arms of the Lord on February 8, 2019, with her husband and children by her side. Born February 28, 1964, in Lynn, Massachusetts, daughter of Paul J. Zinner Sr. and Lois G. Peluchette. Preceded in death by parents; sister-in-law, Kathy Zinner; nephew, Paul James "P.J." Zinner III; nephew, Jarrod Zinner and loyal dog and companion, Reese. Carla's legacy will be carried on by her loving husband of 35 years, Andrew L. Moose, and her loving children, Amanda L., wife of Michael R. Gindlesperger, Windber; Ronald D. (Hali), Richland Twp., Thomas J. (Brooke Facciani), Richland Twp.; and Mathew C. (Jensen Durica), Allison Park; grandchildren, Brayden, Gage and Rosalie Gindlesperger, and Maxwell Moose; siblings, Paul J. Zinner Jr., Johnstown; Sandra L. McNichol, Coatesville; Edward M. Zinner (Cindy), Las Vegas, NV: Michele A. Zinner (Brian Miller), West Chester; and Jacqueline M. Terry (Craig), Lakewood, NY; nephew and best friend, Brendan T. Terry and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nothing brought Carla more joy than being surrounded by her family and loved ones. She especially adored her role as "Grammy." Her vivacious personality was magnetic and her uncanny ability to live life authentically is admired by all who knew her. Carla had a big personality and an even bigger heart, welcoming all who walked through her door as though they were family. She loved long weekends spent camping at Shawnee, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, old John Wayne movies, listening to music with the volume turned up and telling corny jokes to her grandkids. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and again from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the funeral home with Fr. Scott J. Lill officiating. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home, Richland. Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.

You are so loved, missed terribly and you will never ever be forgotten. Your memory will live on inside of everyone who’s life you’ve touched. The legacy you leave behind reminds all that knew you of nothing but true love, the importance of family, humbleness and genuine kindness. You were always there for anyone who needed you and I hope your legacy lives on for years to come! Rest easy and may God bless you always Carla!

It is so evident that Carla was loved by many. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for everyone's loss. Death is so hard to take, especially when someone is still young. Revelation 21:4 gives us the wonderful hope that things will not always be like this. The verse states: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. "The beautiful resurrection will restore life to our loved ones who have passed away. ""Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust(the grave)...and the earth shall cast out the dead. " (Isaiah 26:19) King James Vers...ion.Read more

My heart goes out to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Carla. She truly had a heart of gold. She treated my family as if we were her own and for that, I’ll be forever greatfull. My heart hurts knowing I’ll never walk into my parents house and see her sitting in the living room, or calling her up any time I needed anything. She was the type of person who would slip you a $20 under the table because she knew times are tough, or the person who would show up to your wedding and cry because she gets so close to everyone, she felt as though it was one of her own getting married. Carla was truly a blessing to have in life and if you were one of those very lucky people, my heart goes out to... you. Carla will forever be loved and missed by myself and by many, many others. This weekend we will say goodbye, until we meet again ❤️ and we will carry you in our hearts until that day comes. We all love you Carla.Read more
