Yewcic, Carol A. (Botteicher), 70, of Hudson, FL., formerly of Johnstown and Altoona, PA., passed away on December 28, 2017. Survived by her husband, Steven "Paul" Yewcic; sons, Gerard (Kerry) and John (Molly) Hostetler; step-children, Patrick (Kelli) Yewcic, Stephanie (Tim) Betts, Leigh Ann (James) Miller, Nicole (Jed) Coble, David (Holli Feyes) Yewcic; grandchildren, Sarah (Andy) Minnis, Leland Hostetler both of Ohio, Jack, Tessa and Reagan Hostetler of Palm Harbor, FL.; step-grandchildren, Avery and Kaiden Yewcic, Timmy and Zach Betts, Emily and Katie Miller, Ashlynne and Lilly Coble, Lincoln and "soon to be" Greyson Yewcic. Proceeded in death by her parents, Walter Lee and Anna Grace (nee Dorney) Botteicher and step-grandson Bryson Coble. Graduate of East Conemaugh HS, 1965. Past Choir Director at Beulah United Methodist Church of Johnstown, PA., and Jaggard Methodist Church in Altoona, PA., soprano soloist at 1st Presbyterian Church of Johnstown. Studied under Robert Shaw at Princeton University, member of the Keystone Corral, member of Johnstown Symphony Chorus. Also a member of Hudson, FL. United Methodist church as well as a member of the church chorus. She was a US Army Veteran and played in the 14th Army Band, sang under direction of composer, Joseph Martin on his Germany tour.
