"Butch", 74, Ebensburg, passed away July 10, 2018, at home. Born October 1, 1943, in Spangler, the son of Eli and Mary (Gray) Arotin. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Eli (infant) and Blaine Arotin; and sister, Karen Bender. Survived by loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Natcher) Arotin; children, Joseph (Stephanie) Arotin, Paula (Jeremy) Mackanick, Connie (Dan) Weiland, and Don (Karalyn) Arotin, all of Ebensburg; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Brother of Eli "Buster" (Carol) Arotin and Julie Inzana (Jim Gillin), both of Northern Cambria; Donna (Butch) Walters, Altoona; Carolyn Arotin (Jim Peacock) and Trudy Arotin, both of Northern Cambria. Retired coal miner from Barnes & Tucker Co. and member of UMWA Local 1269. Later employed by IU8. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. "Butch" was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who made the most of time spent with family. He also enjoyed golfing, watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and following college and high school football and baseball. Friends will be received from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Church. Fr.
