Charles W. "Buck" Rushton


85,Dixonville, died at his home Monday, February 13, 2017. Born in Huntingdon County, December 1, 1931, he was the son of the late James Rushton and Estele (Lambing) Rushton. He was widowed from his wife of 46 years, Juliana C. (Sarnovsky) Rushton who died July 7, 2004. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a career welder for area coal mines. He is survived by his children: Joan Petrisko & husband, Francis, Northern Cambria; Karen Rellick & husband, Christopher, Clymer; Charles "Bill" Rushton, Jr., Dixonville; and Robert "Bob" Rushton, Dixonville. Other survivors include: grandsons, Francis Petrisko, Northern Cambria and Todd Petrisko, Cresson; sister, Betty Strickland, Warren, OH and step-brother, Ken Krolick and wife, Carol, Idamar. In addition to his wife and parents, Buck was preceded in death by: daughter, Diane Rushton; step-father, Joe Krolick; and siblings, Shirley Yuhasz, Dollie Peles and James "Del" Rushton. Visitation Thursday, February 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer where his funeral service will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. Burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dixonville.
