92, of Johnstown, died December 9, 2017, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born May 6, 1925, in Portage the son of Vallie I. Yingling. Preceded in death by his father; wife of 66 years, Matilda R. Tina (Alexander) Yingling; and brother, Gerald Yingling. Survived by his loving children: Dianna, wife of Samuel Podrasky, Portage; and Clair Ray Jr., Johnstown; grandchildren: Samuel Podrasky (Rebecca Plazak), Lilly; Shawn Podrasky (Ashley Rocker), Texas; and Gregory Podrasky (Audra Smith); great-grandchildren: Julia, Samuel, Dylan, Jakob, Eden, Nathaniel, and Riley; and sister-in-law, Agnes (Griffin) Yingling. Also survived by his loving companion Peanut and will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. A US Army Veteran of WWII, Clair worked at US Steel Corp. and was retired from Johnstown Corp. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Penguins fan and loved to do Find a Word puzzles with his wife, Tina. A member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church where funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday Fr. Matthew Misurta officiating. Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Tuesday at the FRANCIS G. OZOG FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Committal will take place at St. Anthony Cemetery with military honors by VFW Menoher Post 155 Ritual Team.
