(72) of Johnstown lost his battle with cancer July 12, 2017. Born September 24, 1944 son of Clarence, Jr. and Evelyn (Polca) Hanners. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter Tracy Lynn Robinson. Survived by his wife of 44 years Patricia (Sherman) and childrenGretchen Compton, Thomas and wife Michelle Billie Jo and husband David Sellers. Grandchildren Brittany and husband Brent Fizer, Cassandra Hanners and Taylor Hanners, David Christopher Sellers and wife Ashley, Holly Sellers, Alysha and Sarah Robinson, Vern Graves and Joshua Compton. Greatgrandchildren Jaxon Fizer and Ava Hanners brothers and sisters twin brother Charles Hanners, Bonnie Schmidt, Samuel and wife Kathleen (Hayostek), Donna Irons and many nieces, nephews , cousins, family and friends. Clarence was an Army veteran with 18 years of service. He was a chef with many of the local restaurants over the years, the Westmont school district and retired from Joey Dels catering. He was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He was a member of the CFU, Catholic War Vets and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 849. The family would like to extend their thanks to their dear friends Beverly and Rebecca Burkett for their tireless care of Clarence. Family and friends will be received from 4 PM Saturday until time of Funeral Service at 7 PM at Moskal-Reid funeral home, the Rev. Bernard Karmonocky, celebrant.
