45, Windber, passed away on June 3, 2019 at home. Born September 23, 1973 in Windber. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Dolores (Karczewski) Chontas, and an infant great-niece Hayleigh Rogalla. Survived by sons, Dylan and Devin; sister, Dianne (Ercole), wife of Jack Hogue; brother, James Ercole and wife, Lori (Schmeltzer); sister, Tricia (Chontas), wife of Brian Betta; nephew, Bryan Hogue and girlfriend, Miranda Rose; niece, Brenda (Hogue), wife of Denny Rogalla and great nephew and great niece, Brady and Alyssa Rogalla. Also, three special aunts, Lillian, Irene and Theresa, and many cousins. David was an avid sports fan. He loved watching baseball and football especially the Indianapolis Colts and New York Yankees. He loved bowling where he rolled a sanctioned 300 game which he was very proud of. He loved his family, especially his two sons, who were his pride and joy. David had many friends and will be missed by all. No viewing, but please join us in a Mass at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber at 10 a.m. on Saturday June 15, 2019. Interment, St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Windber. Arrangements by the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber.
