63, Hooversville, passed away unexpectedly November 27, 2017 at his home. Born November 14, 1954 in Johnstown. Son of William and Julia (Wojnarowski) Jackson. Preceded in death by parents, sister Loretta Jackson and brother William Jackson. Survived by wife of 41 years Sharon M. (Yoder) Jackson; son Daniel, Hooversville; brother James married to Beverly (Ott), Windber; sisters Jeanne married to Steven Kopco, Windber; Carol Burns, Richland; Alice married to Gary Holtzman, Maryland and Dianne married to Ron Cowan, New Paris and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A 1972 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Current employee of Somerset County where he was head of maintenance for the Senior Centers. Retired Wildlife Conservation Officer of 25 years and a former Hunter Education Instructor. Member of Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville and Hollsopple Sportsmen Club. Assistant Scout Master for Jennerstown Boy Scout Troop 325. Ed mentored countless young men to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed time in the woods hunting with his brother and son and watching his son race cars on dirt tracks. He also looked forward to spending a week each year at Camp Seph Mack as a leader of his Boy Scout Troop. Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. A memorial service will be held 11AM Friday at Kaufman Mennonite Church with Pastor Wes Yoder presiding.
