Eugene's Story

97, passed away at Westmont Woods with his loving granddaughter Maureen beside him on February 22,2018. Born June 5,1920 in Johnstown, PA, the son of Eugene W. Esch Sr. and Margaret (Ingler). Preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorraine in 2001, sisters Margaret Fletcher and Mary Louise Torr. Survived by daughter Karen married to John Krone, grandchildren Maureen Antesberger, Robert Antesberger married to Carrie, Timothy Antesberger married to Erica, great-grandchildren Dylan, Devon, Bobby "Red", Brielle, Carter, Preston, Layla, and Emerson Antesberger, nieces, nephews and grand pets. He was a Graduate of Greater Johnstown High School, and a WWII US Army Veteran. Eugene retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. after 40 years as foreman in the Chemical Lab. He was a longtime member and very involved at Moxham Lutheran Church. His Family was his life and he loved his animals. Friends received from 2:30 to 4:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2018 at FRANK DUCA FUNERAL HOME, EAST HILLS CHAPEL and CREMATORY, 404 Walters Avenue, Johnstown PA 15904 (Near PA Drivers Center) where a Celebration of His Life will begin at 4:00 PM, Pastor Crissman Officiating. Entombment Grandview Mausoleum.
