84, of Richland Township, died October 15, 2017, at his residence. Born December 25, 1932, in Johnstown the son of Harry R., Sr., and Gertrude (Young) Oppy. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Oppy; and sisters, June Steel and Mary Lou Gosser. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, June B. (Ritchey) Oppy; daughters: Beth Lynn, wife of Gary Boysza; and Kris Susanne, wife of David Kalina. Harry was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his MBA. He was a former employee of Westinghouse, Crane, Borden-Wyler and vice president controller at Crown American Corporation. Harry then started Lodestar Bus Lines, Lodestar Ligonier and Lodestar Tours before expanding his companies to: Johnstown Hearse Rental; Philly Transportation; Abington Transportation, Cheltenham Transportation, as well as supplying services for Westmoreland County Transit Company and Landmark Securities. He was an enthusiast of crossword puzzles, movies and spy thriller novels as well as a civic leader who was involved with Girl Scouts, the Rotary Club and supporter of the Disabled Veterans National Foundation. Harry was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a life member of the BPOE Johnstown Lodge. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad pastor Peter Nordlund officiating.
