96, Northern Cambria, passed away June 14, 2019, at her home. Born September 26, 1922, in Barnesboro, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Keblesh) Pizur. Preceded in death by husband, Andrew J. Sr.; brothers, Michael, Joseph, John, Stephen, Francis and Andrew Pizur; sisters, Sr. M. Aniceta, OSF; Sr. M. Celine, OSF; Margaret Goolish and an infant sister, Mary Pizur; and nephews, John Pizur Jr. and Stanley Goolish. Helen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by children, Andrew J. (Debby) Klapak Jr., Indiana; Francis (Sharon) Klapak, Greensburg; Michael Klapak, Northern Cambria; granddaughter, Melanie (Erik) and great-grandson, Elliot, all of Maine. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Linda Klapak and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who raised her family lovingly guided by her strong faith in God. Commemorated and honored by a plaque from Ave Maria University in Florida for her efforts as a founder of the University. Mom had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind and gentle nature but worked as hard as anyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, she requests that all services and a funeral mass be private for her family with Fr. Donald Dusza officiating. Committal, St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her honor to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607. Attention Fr. Scott Donahue.
