James Joseph Pinto


James Joseph Pinto peacefully entered into God's eternal rest on December 17, 2018 in Clearfield, PA. Born November 9, 1942 in Windber, PA to Virginia and Michael Pinto, Jim served as Postmaster in Clearfield for 13 years, retiring in 2002 after 31 years of faithful service with the United States Postal Service. He was admired and respected by his staff locally, and throughout the U.S.P.S. system for his expertise, work ethic and true concern for those whom he supervised.

Among Jim's survivors is a sister Regina Pinto and her Fiancée Joe Spinelli of Johnstown.

Funeral Services for James Pinto will be held in the Chapel of the Clearfield Presbyterian Church on Saturday May 18 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jimmy Hopper and Deacon Tom Conlin co-officiating, Interment will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Clearfield.

Family and Friends will be received in the Sanctuary of the Clearfield Presbyterian Church on Friday May 17 from 2 to 8 PM, and again in the Chapel of the church on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM.

Military Honors will be accorded in the Chapel of the church by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.

The family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to the Gamma Knife Brain Unit, UPMC Presbyterian c/o Dr. Edward Monaco Team ~ 200 Lothrop St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
