92, Davidsville died July 26, 2017 at Windber Hospice. He was born November 26, 1924 in Greenboro, the son of the late Frank and Sarah (Thomas) Telenko. Preceded in death by brothers, Dan, Frank, and Steve Telenko; sisters, Alice Christie and Margaret Dill. Survived by loving wife of 69 years, the former Dora Mae Nicolli; children, James D. Telenko, Jr. married to Carol Haryu, MN; Robert F. Telenko, FL; Jeanne M. Chamer, wife of the late James J. Chamer, Jr., Davidsville; Donna M. married to Edward J. Block, III, Jerome; Paul G. Telenko married to Christine Scholle, OR and David N. Telenko married to Vedette Vitiello, CA; grandchildren, Christian Telenko; Bobby and Tony Telenko; Jeffery, Jimmy Chamer and Jessica (Chamer) Kline; Megan (Block) Fisher and Marissa Block, Nick Telenko; Carly, Jack, Grant and Audrey Telenko and 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Ronald Telenko and wife Carolyn and Thomas Telenko and wife Norma; sister, Sara Ruth Zwick, wife of the late Ray Zwick and numerous nieces and nephews. James was a 1943 graduate of Conemaugh Twp.High School and was a World War II veteran, serving in the Fighting 69th Infantry Division and was awarded a Bronze Star. He started his career as a union carpenter and moved into supervision of construction jobs for companies such as Ragnar Benson, Zurn Industries and General Electric. James traveled worldwide with his work during his career. He loved fly fishing and cross country skiing, however, his favorite pastime, was spending time with his wife and family at their farmhouse on Woodstown Highway. At James' request, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers or religious offerings, James' request is for contributions be donated to the American Diabetes Association for the research for a cure of Juvenile Diabetes.
