Sr. 92; formerly of Geistown Boro., passed away September 25, 2017 at Amber Springs at Laurelwood Care Center. Born August 23, 1925 in Johnstown, son of Samuel N. and Rosella (Gollar) Webb. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Ione (Warner) Webb; son Paul Webb; daughter-in-law, Kathleen (Barron) Webb; granddaughter, Kelley Webb; and brothers, William and Robert Webb. Survived by sons, James, Jr., Sarver, PA; Thomas Webb, Cranberry Township; and Raymond, married to the former Michelle Noon, Evansville, IN; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Webb, Johnstown; sister-in-law, Pat McKinley; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Rita Hart of Johnstown. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Bronze Star recipient in European Theater. Retired from Thiele Truck and Body Co. with 43 years of service. A member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, where he was an usher for over 50 years and 50 year Reunion worker. He also coached basketball for 15 seasons for St. Benedict School and was charter member for the St. Benedict Athletic Association. A member of the V.F.W. Post 155 and charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8244. Friends received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, the Rev. David S. Peles. Committal Grandview Mausoleum, where Conemaugh Valley Detachment 287 Marine Corps.
