Mary Alice, I live 3,000 miles from Johnstown, but I've learned that hearts can break even at such a great distance. At this moment, mine is shattered.

For many years, Jack was one of the best friends in my life. His death, coming so soon after Phil Barbera's, is a double wound, and they're something from which I won't soon recover emotionally.

Mary Alice, please know that I wish you only the best. You'll be thoughts in the days and years ahead.

Rest in peace my friend Jack.

I will miss laughing with Jack in the front yard. He was a very nice neighbor and my thoughts and prayers to Mary Alice and her family at this very hard time. May God Bless you all.

My sympathy for your loss. I worked with Jack at GTE and also was a neighbor in Westwood. He was such a nice man with a great sense of humor.
