69, Patton, passed away February 16, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1949 in Spangler the son of Andrew and Zida L. (Trexler) Mihalow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Richard, Joseph, Dennis, Nicholas and his niece Stacie Mihalow Sheikh. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Gary (Rose) Mihalow, Patton; Andrew (Margaret) Mihalow, Patton; Darlene (Skelly) Mihalow, Indiana, PA; Victor (Teresa) Mihalow, Irvona; Linda (Paul) Flora, Patton; Pamela (Bruce) Mihalow, N. Cambria; Bonnie (Kevin) Mihalow, Patton and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. John was a 1967 graduate of Patton High School. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War as a Military Policeman. He also served as a military policeman in Fort Belvoir, Fairfax County, VA and was formerly employed at the Old Farm Inn, Carrolltown and Peno NAPA in Coalport and Patton. John was a past commander of the Patton VFW Post 779, was a history buff and enjoyed word puzzles. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave. Patton. A Funeral Service will be held 11 am Wednesday at the funeral home by Rev. Vasyl Polyak. Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, Patton. Full military honors will be accorded by John White VFW Post 779 and Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614. Memorial contributions are requested to Patton VFW Post 779.
