Butch The Lawnmower Man, 73, in his words 32, Lorain Borough, passed away September 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 26, 1944 in Johnstown, son of the late Samuel and Sophia C. (Kopriva) Machich. Preceded in death by father, Joseph M. Raspotnik, son, Shjon M. Raspotnik, brothers, James, Frank and Joseph. Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Catherine (Cinko) Raspotnik, Lorain Boro; children, Denise married to Joe Russo, Cary, NC; Christine Stiffler married to David Shepler, Johnstown; and Catherine married to David Dane, Arizona; grandchildren, Amie, Angela, Alison, Richard, Kaeli, Arthur, Conan, Lindsey, Shjonie Jr., and Claire; great grandchildren, Lillian, Hayden, Cameron, Rylynn, Caden, Martez; sister, Mary Frances married to Ray Rininger, Lorain Boro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Butch retired from the car shop at Bethlehem Steel Corp, was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of the Moxham P.N.A. He was best known for telling jokes, shooting pool, fixing lawnmowers and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, at MOSKAL & KENNEDY COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 219 Ohio St. Johnstown.
