Yoder, John Jr., (93) of Davidsville passed away October 29, 2017 Born March 22, 1924. He is the last surviving member of the John and Polly (Custer) Yoder family. He is survived by his wife Grace (Thomas), they would have been married 73 years in November. Also survived by his children Allen (Joy), Dean (Juanita) and Dan (Marcia) all of Davidsville and Sam (Maryann) of Aaronsburg, PA, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. John worked as a farmer, coal miner, a mason, and an insurance agent before retiring from Sani Dairy. He was a lifelong member of Kaufman Mennonite Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher. John loved singing, he was an avid song leader and sang in mens quartets for many years. He cherished spending time with family and had a ministry to many through visits and phone chats. He fulfilled his obligation to the government as a conscientious objector during WWII by serving at a mental health hospital. Family and friends will be received from 3-8 PM Wednesday at Kaufman Mennonite Church and before his Memorial Service at 11 AM Thursday, Committal 9: 30 AM Thursday at Thomas Mennonite Church Cemetery.
