Joe. 83; Johnstown, passed away November 1, 2017 at the Palliative Care Unit of Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born July 12, 1934 in Encs, Hungary, son of John S. Grego and Margaret (Timar) Grego-Zsoka. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Anna Marie (Boysza) Grego; step-father, Stephen Zsoka; brother Steve Grego and 2 nephews. Survived by children, Eugenia Marie wife of Mark Gregory, Judy Ann wife of Brian Rager, Mary Ann wife of William Milavec, Julius S. Grego Jr., married to the former Lynell Crivellaro, all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Kelly Ann, Lewis, Jessica, Patricia, Charles, Jodi and Ashley; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jaxson, Hannah, Emily and Lilyann; sisters-in-law, Gizzie and Arlene; and nieces Elizabeth and Maria. Julius was a former soldier of the Hungarian Army. Retired truck driver for Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was past president of the Hungarian-American Citizens Club (Brownstown) and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Johnstown Council 467. Member of the former St. Emerich Catholic Church and a member of the Moxham PNA. Julius enjoyed many trips, with his wife, to his homeland of Hungary. He enjoyed going to auctions. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending his spare time working in his garage. Friends received Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, O.F.M. Private Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Conemaugh Hospital in memory of Julius S. Grego Sr.
