,54 of Fairfax, Va. passed away September 25, 2017 at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Va. Born January 25, 1963 in Johnstown, daughter of George and Monica (Wiewiora) Kraynak. Preceded in death by father. Survived by mother and sister Karla and Karens beloved dog Scrappy Doo, of Fairfax, Va. brother George Jr. (Carmen), of Fairfax County, and children, Kristina, Bobby, Danny, David & Ryan and brother Greg (Tami) of Port Matilda, Pa. and children, Katarina, Hunter, Colton, Brooklyne and Braylon. Also Karens beloved dog Scrappy Doo and aunt Yvonne Wiewiora of Northern Cambria who was like a second mother to her. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins and many loved ones. Karen grew up in Northern Cambria, Pa where she went to Northern Cambria High School and graduated in 1980 as valedictorian. She later went on to Penn State University with a B. S. in Geology. She was employed as a Proposal Director for CSRA of Fairfax, Va., for the past 18 years. She loved gardening and cooking. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Boniface Wimmer room at St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, Carrolltown, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Rev.
