She was preceded in death by husband, Carl Holsopple; daughter, Charlotte Glick (Del Glick who survives); great-granddaughter, Faith Gingerich; and by parents, David and Catherine (Yoder) Shetler and 9 siblings. Lydia was an active member of Kaufman Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday school and Bible school, was a long time auxiliary member of Gideons International, member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Advisory Council, and served in the Mothers' Group at Johnstown Christian School. Cooking, baking, and serving food to anyone who entered her home brought joy to her life and guests frequently left her farm with a gift of cinnamon rolls or chocolate candy. Visitation with family and friends will be held at Kaufman Mennonite Church on Friday, July 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 and an hour before the service on Saturday, July 29. Service celebrating Lydia's life will begin at 10:30. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blough Cemetery. Email condolences may be sent at www.moskal-reidfh.com.
