(Pavlich), 93, Johnstown passed away June 10, 2017. Born June 23, 1923 in Johnstown. Daughter of Michael and Helen (Dolyak) Pavlich. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Peter Komisar, who passed in 2013 and with whom she shared a marriage of 70 years; her brothers and sisters, John, Ann, Joseph, Michael, John, Mary, Andrew and Helen. Survived by her daughters, Barbara, wife of John Homick, Annapolis, Md.; Madalene, wife of Barry Greene, Bethesda, Md.; and Marcia, wife of Michael Kokus, Ebensburg; grandchildren, John Michael Homick and Laura Homick; Chad David Homick; Joseph Asher Greene, and wife Daniela; Ilana Greene Margulies, and husband Dan; Michael Peter Kokus, and wife Michelle; Nicholas Andrew Kokus, and wife Mallory; Maryann Margaret Kokus, and fiancé Daniel Stahl; great-grandchildren, Heather, Max, Samuel, Sonia, and Mark Homick; Jude Kokus; and Thomas, Ia, and Adrian Kokus. Margaret was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a fabulous cook and baker, and did many types of sewing and needlework, and was an avid reader. She transmitted her deep faith, and her love of learning, what you learn, no one can take away from you. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Windber which she faithfully attended on Sundays and Feast Days until she simply couldn't anymore. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Church of the Brethren Home, where she resided for the past three years, for their loving and diligent care of our mother. Friends received 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber and where Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday. Brief service 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Windber. The Very Rev. Father Miles Zdinak. Interment church cemetery.
