94, R.D. Patton, passed away on October 7, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born June 15, 1924 in R.D. Dysart, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Bertha L. (Gauntner) McGough. Preceded in death by husband, Ralph E. on May 15, 2003, grandson, Kyle Holtz, sister, Alice Bianculli, and brothers, Edgar, Paul and Norman. Survived by children, David (Brenda), Eric, Jeff (Lori), Roy (Lynn), and Mary Ellen Missy (Joe) Vescovi, Jay, and Tim (Amanda), daughter in law, Diane Holtz, 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren. Sister of, Florence (Gilbert) Blake, Eugene (Sophia), and Janet Hogue, sister in law, Hilda Wills, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Louise enjoyed skeet shooting and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame in 1998, she also enjoyed quilting. She was a 60 year member of the Patton Garden Club and was a the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and was a longtime member of the Patton Music Club. She was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society where she directed the choir for over 50 years at St. Augustine Catholic Church, and where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, Rev. Joseph Fleming, Celebrant. Committal, Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3 to 9 PM Wednesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held Wednesday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to 365 Hospice, 119 South Main St. Carrolltown, PA 15722 or St. Augustine Catholic Church, 803 St. Augustine Rd., Dysart, PA 16636 in Mary Louise memory.

Mary Louise; such an unbelievable, wonderful, and kind loving woman! She made everyone feel so special.,, I will miss doing her gardens that she took such pride in. I will miss her so very much....God Bless❤️

I still remember shooting with her and Ralph at the PA state skeet championships many years ago. They didn't know me at all, and yet made me feel very comfortable and if I had been shooting with them for years. Two of the nicest, friendliest people I have ever encountered shooting skeet.
