99, of Johnstown died October 24, 2017, at Windber Hospice. Born October 21, 1918, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Adam and Julia (Lepovsky) Kicko. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Michael Kohan who she married February 14, 1942; grandson, Scott Rosenbaum; infant sister, Catherine; sister, Margaret (Michael) Democko; brothers: Joseph; Michael (Agnes); John (Mary); Adam Buddy and Albert Sonny; sister-in-law, Helen (John) Gordan; brother-in-law, Wilford Barlich; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Kohan. Mary is survived by her children: Patricia A. Rosenbaum, TX; Barbara J. Miller, Johnstown; Ronald M. Kohan, OH; and James A. Kohan (Karen Gardner), Tipton; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Barlich; sister-in-law, Helen Kicko; and brother-in-law, Andrew Kohan. She was a member of St. Gregory and Barnabas Parish and the Cover Hill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mary was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family and never missed a birthday or holiday. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at the FRANCIS G. OZOG FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Fr. Robert Ruston officiating. Committal will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of Windber Hospice for the kind and loving care they gave to Mary during her illness.
