Matilda's Story

(100) of Johnstown entered into rest one day before her 101st birthday September 16, 2017. Born September 17, 1916 daughter of John and Mary (n`ee Krivac) Schuster. Known as Tillie she was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stephen and son Stephen, Jr. and her seven brothers and sisters Christina Roper (DE), John (OH), Sister Mary Armella (OSF),Francis (WA), Rita Sullivan (OH), William (NY) and Robert (OH). Tillie was the loving aunt of her nieces Kathy Anderson (NY), Nancy DiCarmine (NY), Maryann Hugle (NJ), beloved sister-in-law Louise Schuster (NY) and many other nieces and nephews. Tillie was a longtime member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral. After her husband passed away in 1974 she went to work at GeeBees in the bakery department. She continued the family tradition of professional bakers, and her nut rolls and pierogis will be sorely missed. Family and friends will be received from 5-8 PM Friday at Moskal-Reid funeral home where the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Robert Buczak will hold Panachida at 7 PM Friday. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 Am Saturday at Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Committal Grandview cemetery. Email condolences may be sent at www.moskal-reidfh.com
