34, Carrolltown, passed away unexpectedly, August 8, 2017. Born July 24, 1983, in Johnstown, the son of Michael R. and Barbara J. (Selapack) Springer, of Carrolltown. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by loving wife, Kimberly A. (Litzinger); daughter, Brexley M. Springer and step-daughter, Avery M. Biter; siblings, Holly M., wife of James R. Ertter Jr., Carrolltown; Kelly M., wife of Kevin A. Kirsch, Carrolltown; Travis D. Springer, fiance of Angela R. Tirabassi, Cape Coral, FL; and Tiffany L., wife of Nathan Maurer, Carrolltown. Also survived by these nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Monkey very much, Jayme M. and Jimmy R. Ertter III, Kenley J. and Kooper S. Kirsch, Lainey G. Maurer and 3 new nieces and nephews whom he was excited to soon meet. Also survived by aunts and uncles, Patrick (Sonya) Springer, GA; David (Regina) Springer, FL; Anne (Fred) McCabe, Cresson; Kimberly Springer, Ebensburg; Fred (Sharon) Selapack, NC; Karen Chopick, Johnstown; Harold (Michele) Selapack, Sidman; and numerous cousins. Preceding him in death were grandparents, David and Helen Springer and Frederick and Jenny Selapack. Michael was a graduate of Central Cambria High School. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, he loved music and his Newsboy Caps. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a contagious laugh, bright smile, and could always make you laugh with his comedic antics. He loved his daughter dearly, she was the light of his life. Michael had a big heart that had enough love in it for everyone he met. Michael loved his family and friends very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Michael will be immensely missed. Friends and family will be received from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. Jude Brady, OSB, celebrant. Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kimberly A. Springer to establish a trust for their daughter.
