(Trotz), 59, of Mine 40, was called home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 11, 1958, she was the daughter of Leon and Jenny (Gawel) Trotz and daughter-in-law of Alden and Helen Claar. Preceded in death by father, father-in-law, and brother, Tommy Trotz. Survived by husband, of 37 years, Larry Claar; daughter, Danielle Claar and Scott Sirko; son, Matthew Claar and Jenna Lloyd, and grandson, Leland. Also survived by brothers, Robert Trotz (Deb) and Bill Trotz (Tara); sisters, Patty Schilling (Gary), Sharon Kusher (Rudy), and Carol Audey (George); brothers-in-law, Danny Claar, Steven Claar (Debbie), and Alden Claar (Jody); numerous nieces and nephews; adopted pet, Maxine, and many beloved friends. Nancy married the love of her life, Larry in 1981. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Nancy was so proud of her children Danielle and Matthew, and her grandson, Leland. Nancy loved spending every moment with her family and friends, whether watching Steelers games with her family, going for milkshakes with Helen, or going out for breakfast with Bev. Nancy had strong faith and was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber where she served as a Eucharistic minister, volunteered in the kitchen, taught CCD, and always helped at the church festivals. Nancy was a beautiful, strong, thoughtful, and caring person who had a kind and generous heart and brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. She made every holiday special for her family, loved reading to Leland, volunteered to wrap presents for the Police and Fire Department, and worked at St. Anthonys bingo. She will be forever cherished and loved by her family and friends. Friends received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Reverend Roderick N. Soha, Pastor. Interment, St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Windber. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously appreciated to help the family.
