"Mam," 88, Richland, died February 10, 2019, at Windber Hospice. Born August 24, 1930, in St. Michael, daughter of James and Anna (Dipko) Ratchford. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William H. "Bill" Mapstone Jr., who died April 23, 2003; sisters, Mary Alice Vivian, Verda Belanto, and Audrey Losada; and brothers, James and Joseph Ratchford. Survived by daughter, Sherry, wife of Anthony Sinisi, Richland; grandsons, Christopher Watkins, married to Natalie (Zimmer), Southmont; Timothy Watkins, married to Kellie (Lamer), Elton; and Ryan Watkins, Salix; great-grandchildren, Travis, Caleb, Devyn, Dylan, Maxwell, Gage and Emma; sisters, Joan Oyaski; Sun City West, Arizona; Gertrude Ryan, Boswell; Regina, wife of Robert "Muzzy" Blanchetti, St. Michael; and Sandy, wife of James Ambroe, Windber; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was a graduate of Adams Township High School, class of 1948. Former member of St. Michael American Legion Post 551, Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid sports fan; and enjoyed gambling, traveling and shopping. She was a loving mother and grandmother; we will miss her warm smile, quick wit and cheerful humor. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Father Brian Warchola, Celebrant. Committal, South Fork Cemetery.
