Olga Hegedus (Giazzon), 85, Vintondale, arrivied safely in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her loving family on Sept 12, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Vintondale. Daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Curtoli) Giazzon. She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Hegedus, granddaughter Carrie Ann, brothers and sisters Eugene Giazzon, Emma Giazzon, Claire Smillie, Louis Geno Giazzon, Mario Giazzon, Ida Slough, and Patricia Mock. Olda was a wonderful loving mother to her children Cyndi (Butch) Hoffman, Angela (Dan) Kupchella, Perry Hegedus, and Stephen (Andrea) Hegedus. She was Bubba to her grandchildren Missy, Bill (Tanya), Christopher, Jordan, Tabatha, Marlene, Jeffrey, Zackery, and Tyler. Great grandchildren Landen, Connor, Brennan, Stacia, Joseph, Levi, Blaze, Julian, Sabrina, and Liam. Many special nieces and nephews. Sister of Angelina Holt, Robert (Crystal) Giazzon, Evelyn (Bernie) Murawski, and Paul Giazzon. She was very proud of her Italian Heritage and of being a coal miners daughter. Olga took care of her younger siblings after her mothers death, she also sponsored several children through Childrens International. She worked at the Ebensburg Center and loved all the children that she cared for. Olga enjoyed cooking for her family, playing bingo, and scratch off tickets. She loved going to the mountains in Cameron County and bus trips with her friends. A very devout Catholic, she was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Vintondale. At Olgas request there will be no public viewing, private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, in Olgas memory.
