Phyllis Jean Adams Hoy was entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2017 in her 86th year, surrounded by her family. Phyllis was a resident of Hershey, PA having lived in Ellwood City, PA for many years. Phyllis was born in Johnstown PA on May 22, 1931, the daughter of Emma and Walter Adams. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dr. James M. Hoy, four children, J.Michael, (Carol Kirtley), Carolyn, Roberta, and Gregory; eight grandchildren: Dustin Schnee (Catherine), Michael Aaron Hoy, Elysia Hoy Patterson (Dave), Winston Hoy, (Liza), Robert Hoy, William Greider III (Alexandra), Devon Greider, Adam Greider, and six great-grandchildren. Phyllis loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. She was an accomplished and prolific artist, and enjoyed gardening. Phyllis enjoyed reading, politics, playing cards and games, and spending time in Ocean City NJ with the family. She will be best remembered for her loving care of all she knew and her great sense of humor. A memorial mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey, PA on July 31st at 11:00AM.
