THOMPSON Phyllis Ann, 86, Richland, formerly of Lorain Borough, died February 21, 2018, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born December 9, 1931, in Johnstown, daughter of George and Mary (Stapleton) Parkinson. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Richard D. Thompson, who died January 21, 2008; brothers, Michael James and Robert Joseph; sister, Rita Eileen Parkinson; sister-in-law, Betty Parkinson; and brother-in-law, Charles Wise. Survived by daughters, Debra, wife of Brian Wilson, New Germany; and Karen, wife of Charles Mahon, Johnstown. Ann was beloved by her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Wilson), wife of Kenneth Brand, Lakewood, Ohio; and Michael Wilson and companion, Lindsey Wuchter, Allentown. Ann delighted in meeting her first great-grandchild, Kenneth James Brand last June. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Patricia Wise, Steubenville, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Janet Shepler, Bradenton, Florida; and Elsie Parkinson, Johnstown; step-grandson, Chuck Mahon, Johnstown; and dear friend, traveling companion and fellow great-grandma, Helen Wilson, Summerhill. Ann was a lifelong member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral and their St. Anne Society. She was a 1949 graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. She spent most of her 49 years of marriage as a devoted military wife. In later years she loved travel and crafting with friends. She especially cherished spending many holidays and celebrations with her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Johnstown by the Very Rev. James F.
