Ralph J. Snyder
Ralph was born on October 29, 1923, in Rockwood, Pennsylvania, to the late Jacob and Emma (Findlay) Snyder, and served as a Private First Class in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during World War II. He married Mary Amanda Snyder in 1948, in Johnstown, PA. Mary died in October of 1988.
He worked as a Milk Dryer for the former Orrville Milk Condensery for many years, retiring in 1985.
Ralph was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Orrville, the Orrville VFW, the Orrville American Legion, and the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and spending time working outside.
Surviving are two daughters, Shelby Winning of Orrville, and Denise R. Snyder of Hyattsville, MD; four grandchildren, Shirley Ann (Wayne) Burkett, Cindy (Danny) Adams, Louie (Jennifer) White, and Anita White; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Pearl Miller; grandson, Donald Miller; brother, Blair "Duke" Snyder; and sister, Annetta "Snitz" Hill.
Cremation has taken place and the ashes will be placed on the family farm in Somerset, PA.
