82, of East Taylor, passed November 23, 2017 at home. Born November 5, 1935 in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Mary (DeRosa) Stringent.Preceded in death by his parents, first wife Joanne, grandson Isaac Hunter, brothers Albert, William, Charles, Ernest, Edward, and sisters Edith Kinol and Eleanor Andolina.
Survived by Mary Louise Yagodich, stepchildren Scott Yagodich and Melissa Hunter wife of Derek Hunter, grandchildren Megan and Taylor Wahl and Andrew Melady, brothers George Stringent and Joseph "Junior" Stringent and wife Pat. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.Ray attended Johnstown School District. He worked at Kinol Brothers Tile and Marble and then he retired from Local Union 9 as a Tile Setter. He was a devoted longtime member of the YMCA. He loved to watch Old Western movies. Ray will be sadly missed by his family and friends.Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. with Funeral Service to begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Fr. Matthew Misurda. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
