Dick, 65, Hastings, passed away November 3, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born June 22, 1952, in Spangler, the son of William and Mildred (Westover) Barnes. Preceded in death by father and brother-in-law, Rick Kazmer. Survived by mother, of Hastings; loving wife of 42 years, Patricia Trish (Dinsmore) Barnes; daughters, Rebecca, wife of Wyatt Link, Dysart; Tracy, wife of Tommy Nagle, Patton; and Scott Barnes (Michele Griffith), Ebensburg; and grandchildren, Levi, Abigail, Tucker, Brady, Mackenzie, Chase and Jenna. Brother of Eileen Kazmer, Pittsburgh; Robert Barnes, Virginia Beach; Jean (Edward) Hasley, Altoona; and Mary Beth (Shawn) McMullen, Hastings. Also survived by former sister-in-law and close friend, Susan Barnes. US Army Veteran. Retired from the US Postal Service working many years as Postmaster. Dick enjoyed the outdoors fishing, gardening and hunting as well as watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was happiest with his family and spending time with his grandchildren who he adored. Member of Hastings United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hastings Methodist Church, Pastor Linda Lacovic officiating. Committal, Union Cemetery, Hastings. Military honors by local veterans organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
