Richard "Dick"'s Story
Richard Dick Boring, 89, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 26, 2017 after a year and a half battle with Mesothelioma.
He was born July 7, 1928 in Johnstown, PA son of the late Mary (Rager) and Joseph Boring. Richard was married to Eva Zoe Meese on November 28, 1949 and throughout most of their nearly 52 years together, they lived in Brunswick, Ohio.
Richard worked as a Tinsmith for General Motors for 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Antietam, and was also a Brunswick City Councilman. He had a passion politics, history and government. Richard excelled at everything he did most notably building, inventing (as U.S. Patent holder) and creating projects of all shapes, sizes and scale.
He will be most remembered as Pap Pap, spending every waking moment he could with his loving grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his children Laura, Russ, and Rob, grandchildren, Kenny, Sebastian, Gunner, Collins, Aria, Edison and Adaline and many friends and family.
Richard is preceded in death by his childhood sweetheart and wife Zoe, son Randy, siblings Carl, Lee, Betty Lou, Joseph and Frank.

In accordance with his wishes, a private memorial service to be held in the near future.
