89, St. Lawrence Rd., Patton, died February 24, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born March 5, 1928 in St. Lawrence, son of the late Walter and Cecelia (Kibler) Kutruff. Preceded in death by wife, the former Shirley Kruise on February 5, 2012, son, Jerome, great grandson, Conner McNulty, great granddaughter, Laken Verdavoir, sisters; Carrie Hoover, Geraldine Hoover, Aldine Cronauer and Jean Davis, and brother, Robert Kutruff. Survived by children; James E. Sr. (Linda Mahute), Joyce Ann (Paul) Ropp, and Judy (Eugene Jr.) Troy, and daughter in law, Carol Kutruff, all of St. Lawrence, 10 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Last member of his immediate family. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dick enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and going on ice cream trips. He worked as a farmer, and for Penn Dot, Patton and the clay mines. Former member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday by Benedictine Fathers. Committal, St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Monday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, Pa 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held Monday.
