Rita Isabella (Shea), 86, Revloc, died July 3, 2017, at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born Dec. 20, 1930, in Revloc, daughter of Dennis and Isabella Shea. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 50 years John "Moo" Makosy; son, Daniel; and daughter-in-law, Sharlene. Survived by children, John (Susan); Sharon; Susan (Leo); Gary (Sharon); and Douglas (Christina); daughter-in-law, Gloria; grandchildren, Rennie, Christin, Christopher, Kayt, Eric, Amy, Nick, Anne, Leigh, Ryan, Tyler, Logan, Jake, Rylie, Kevin, Sheadan, Braxdan and Quinn; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family. Rita lived her entire life in her childhood home, where she raised her children and nurtured her grandchildren with unconditional love. She was proud of her 100 percent Irish heritage, and it showed in her kindness, wit, courage, spirit and the twinkle in her eyes. A celebration of Rita's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 22, 2017, with a Mass at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, The Rev. Monsignor David Lockard. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until Mass time in the Narthax at Holy Name. After Mass there will be a gathering of family and friends at Revloc Park. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Central Cambria Education Foundation, Carmelites, St. Jude or a charity of your choice in Rita's memory.
