Bob, 81, Johnstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, after a three-year battle with cancer. Born June 13, 1936, in Johnstown, son of Charles and Ethel (Horner) King. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Emma (Sam Sunseri); and Deloris (Anthony Flornia); brother, Gerald (Betty Senet); daughter-in-law, Brenda; and step-mother, Edna Mae. Survived by the Love of his Life, his wife, Elizabeth Betty (Noonan); children, Robert, New Jersey; Ronald (Mary Grove), Twin Rocks; Michael (Mary Anne Giebfried); William (Patricia Teplitza); and Brian, all of Johnstown; David (Lori Krouskos), Texas; Matthew (Emily Horvath), Pittsburgh; and Elizabeth, Johnstown. Also survived by grandchildren Robert (Katrina), Matthew, Marlee, Jennifer, John, Chad, Ryan, Tyler, Addison, Codey, Kayla, Emily, Zachary, and Charles; and great-granddaughter, Thea. Also survived by step sisters, Charlotte (Rayford Allen); Doris (Phillip Rose); and Tish (Roy Brush), all of Johnstown. Bob retired in 1998 from Gautier Steel Mill (shipping department), with 36 years of service at Bethlehem Steel and 4 ½ years at J Pitt Steel. Bob used to be a volunteer for the 7th Ward Ambulance Service, St. Vincent DePaul, Carmelite Sisters, St. John Gualbert Cathedral service group, and most recently, he was a money counter at St. John Gualbert Cathedral. He was member of the Retired Mens Club, and the Wednesday Duck Pin Bowling League. His greatest accomplishments were his wife and children. He enjoyed putting picture puzzles together, and watching the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers. Friends received from 3 until 7pm Wednesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where Vigil for the Deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10am at St. John Gualbert Cathedral with Very Rev. James Crookston as celebrant. Entombment, Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carmelite Monastery, PO Box 57, Loretto, Pa 15940.
