Susan's Story

Susan K. Glova 90 of New Florence PA. fell asleep unto the Lord on February 7, 2018 in Charlotte NC. Born February 22, 1927 in Spangler, PA. and proceeded in death by her husband of 51 years Samuel G. Glova, her parents Dmytro Kemock (Kemak) and Catherine Guida and all five siblings, brother Nicholas married to Anna Skubaka, sister Ann married to John Ryba, sister Mary Kemock, brother Michael married to Catherine Verchick, sisters Helen married to Joseph Pavelko and Faye married to Olaf (Pete) Pedersen. Susan is survived by son's; Samuel G. Glova married to Cheryl Haun of Charlotte NC, Kevin M.Glova married to Suzanne Longenecker of Sunset Beach NC, and Gregory M. Glova married to Christine Geiser of Johnstown, PA, Susan "Gummi's" Granddaughters; Allison Taylor married to Douglas Taylor of New Florence, PA, Emily Glova married to Christopher Wagoner of Wilmington NC and great granddaughter Stella Wagoner. Sue also survived by step-grandchildren; Gene Davis, Cindy Kloiber, Christopher Leoni, Justin Ostrich, Megan Regan and many great step-grand children as well as sisters in law; Olga Kohan, Josephine Kohan and Helen Moody and brother in law Olaf (Pete) Pedersen. Sue (Gummi) loved to shop, listen to her country music records, crochet, baking and her best friends and neighbors Arlene, Romayne, Marianna, and the Nanni family. She especially enjoyed the time spent co-owning and operating with her husband Sam a tavern named Sam's Inn of Seward, PA. Oh the stories she would tell of all the people she had the chance to meet and the friends she made. Susan attended St. Marys Ukrainian Catholic Church of Spangler, PA. and then St. Johns Russian Orthodox Church in Conemaugh, PA. Her fun loving and caring spirit will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7 at 10 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Johnstown, PA. (Bon-Air)
