Ted, 49, passed away November 25, 2017. Born April 1, 1968, in Falls Church, VA, the son of Joseph and Carol (Dolansky) Carson. Preceded in death by father, paternal grandparents, Joseph and Helen Carson, and maternal grandparents, John and Mary Dolansky. Survived by loving mother, Carol, of Northern Cambria; brothers, Joseph, husband of Paula (Morris), St. Leonard MD; David, husband of Heather (Mervosh), Newport, RI; and sister, Annette, Carrolltown. Ted was uncle to Kristin (Patrick) Karalus, Joey, Zachary and Connor Carson; and great-uncle to Carson, Sophia and Isabella Karalus. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins. Ted was a 1986 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School. He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kingsport, NY with a B.S. in Engineering and was commissioned as a U.S. Naval Officer. He spent time on military supply ships delivering supplies during the wars in the Middle East. His career provided him the opportunity to travel the world and visit many places, one of his most accomplished achievements. After fulfilling his seven year military commitment, he resigned his commission from the Navy. Ted continued working in the shipping industry as an engineer laying fiber-optic cable beneath the ocean floor all around the world. In 2010 he chose to return to Pennsylvania to help care for his father, who was suffering from Alzheimers Disease. Ted was hard-working, inventive, generous, and a skilled craftsman. He enjoyed working with wood and metal and used his skills to help relatives and neighbors with various projects. He was everyones handyman. He loved the outdoors and when he was not working, he made his home in Montana, which will be his final resting place. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or funeral. A memorial celebration of Teds life will be held at a later date. The family requests donations in memory of Ted be made to Bishop Carroll High School, Ebensburg, PA.
