88, of Johnstown, died May 14, 2017, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born April 22, 1929, in Johnstown the son of John and Catherine (Schmidt) Fabina. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma (Miller) Fabina; sisters: Mary and husband John Sikirica; Jenny and husband John Babich; and Agnes Nemcheck; brother, Frank and wife Anna Fabina; mother and father-in-law, Calvin and Etta Mae (Prettyman) Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bernadine Fabina; Harry, Clarence, Calvin, Jr. (wife Polly), and Bill Miller; Dorothy and husband William Hullihen;. Survived by his daughters: Cheryl, wife of Frank Fratrich; and Deborah, wife of David Magro; granddaughter, Nicole Fratrich; sisters: Ann (Charles) Novosel; and Helen Polonia; brother, John Fabina; and brother and sisters-in-law, Donald Nemcheck; Betty Miller; and Liz Miller. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A US Army Veteran of WWII, Thomas was retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp.; member of CFU Lodge #5. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the FRANCIS G. OZOG FUNERAL HOME, INC., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Visitation BVM Catholic Church, Fr. John Slovikovski. Committal Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Arbutus Park Manor and Windber Hospice along with the physicians for the care and support they offered Thomas.
