KIELBOWICK- Thomas R. Sr., 93, of Patton, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Altoona UPMC. He was born Sept. 1, 1922, a son of the late Jacob and Victoria (Tokash) Kielbowick. Thomas was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, he was a World War II Army veteran, receiving many medals of honor for his service. He was a lifetime member of the Patton VFW. He loved hunting with his family. Thomas is preceded in death by the love of his life, Anna Kielbowick. Thomas is survived by two sons, David Kielbowick of Westover; Thomas R. Kielbowick Jr., and wife, Mary Cay of Patton; five daughters, Mary Louise Baylock of Patton; Barbara Brush of Cresson; Linda DeLarre, and husband, Ed, of Patton; Kathy Connah, and husband, Donald, of Patton; and Melissa Link, and husband, Duane, of Dysart; three sisters, Alberta Holtz of St. Lawrence; Dorothy Stok of Ohio; and Frances Kline of Baltimore; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Louis, Andrew, Albert and Vincent Kielbowick; and one sister Mary Kline. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 14, at the McCabe Funeral Home, Patton and a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the Queen of Peace Church, Patton. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Patton VFW and American Legion.
