63, Washington, PA, formerly of Barnesboro, passed away on February 16, 2018, after a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where he was awaiting a lung transplant. Born November 30, 1954, in Spangler, son of William and Patricia (Smith) Shell. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, William Bill Shell. Survived by loving wife of 44 years, Mary Annette Shell; daughters Sabrina, and husband Brian Kotrick, Northern Cambria and Sarah Shell, Portland, OR; also grandson, Dylan Kotrick, Northern Cambria. Sister-in-law, Kathy Shell, Northern Cambria; brother, Patrick (Sherry) Shell, Northern Cambria; and sister, Janice Joyner, New Enterprise; along with many nieces and nephews. Tim graduated from Penn State University in 1976 with a BS Degree in Electrical Design Engineering Technology and was the General Maintenance Manager for Consol Energy. He was a long time member of Mon-Valley MEMMA; enjoyed golfing, hunting, being outdoors, yearly family trips to Myrtle Beach, Margaritaville, and the twice a year golf trips with friends. Tim was a loving husband and dedicated father who always put his family first. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org) or UPMC Family House (www.familyhouse.org). A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Washington, PA.
