Singer- Thomas W., 88, of Southmont, died on June 16, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 4, 1929 in Johnstown, son of Melvin and Nellie (Siehl) Singer. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene "Peep", daughter Lynn McClain, brothers George and Melvin Singer. Survived by his devoted and loving daughter Patricia, who was also Tom's caregiver for the last few years of his life, wife of Robert Rosenbaum, grandson Robert "RJ" Rosenbaum Jr. married to Stacy (Speicher), granddaughter Amber Norman married to Richard III, great grandchildren Zoey Belle, Chrissy, Kendra, and Richie IV, brothers Richard E. and Paul Singer. Also, loving friend Kim Smith "My Kim". Thomas was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, 43rd Infantry Division where he received an award for safe driving. He retired from Bethlehem Steel as a boiler maker foreman. He was very artistic, had a great passion for cars, and was avid Steeler fan. Thomas was a very supportive person who was always giving to those less fortunate then him and always donating to local charities. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist on Chandler Avenue. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family. As his request, there will be no viewing. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the staff at Good Samaritan Palliative Care, the staff, nurses, and therapist at the Allegheny Lutheran Home, Pastor David Bunnell from Calvary United Methodist, Pastor Bob from Palliative Care, West Hills Ambulance, and Mike and John Butler for your care and compassion for Thomas.
