Thomas Ernest Valeri

July 08, 1938 - May 13, 2018

79, Colver, passed away at home, May 13, 2018, with his wife by his side. Born July 8, 1938, in Colver, the son of Anthony and Gertrude (Price) Valeri. Preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robin and Anthony Tony Valeri, whom he loved dearly; brothers, Gerald and Frederick and sister, Sandy Valeri. Survived by loving wife of 28 years, Juliette Julie (Kopp) Valeri; his daughter, Jerry Dawn Valeri, FL; grandchildren, Paige, Mike and Joanne; daughter-in-law, Rose Valeri, FL; stepson Davey Edminston, Colver. He is also survived and sadly missed by his constant companions, Bubba, Noodles and Kaine, his faithful dogs. Brother of Dianna Taylor, Lancaster. Also survived by his special aunt, Jan, of MN with whom he spent many hours chatting with on the phone; sisters-in law, Ruth (Richard) Davis, Alverda; Maria (Frank) Boyer, Dubois; Cameo (Ray) Campbell, Burnside; brother-in-law, Rocky (Chris) Kopp, Glendale; and many nieces and nephews. Tom enjoyed his dogs, his numerous motorcycles, spending many hours on his boat at Raystown Lake, fishing and hunting. As time past and his health declined, watching the western channel and football, especially his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers were all he could do. He retired from Barnes & Tucker Coal Company as a mine foreman. He tended bar at the Colver Sons of Italy where he met many friends. He sometimes appeared to be hard, but truly, was as gentle as a teddy bear with a heart of gold and those he helped and his friends knew that side of Tom. He will be greatly missed by those he loved and who loved him. At the request of Tom, there will be no viewing or visitation, all services are at the families convenience. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria is in charge of arrangements. Special thanks to John Gaida, a loyal and faithful friend who helped Tom with all that he could not do. Also a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Molly Trostle and staff who never failed to be there in any time of need. We were so blessed to have Dr. Trostle as a family doctor, but even more she became our friend.
